Tynemouth United's            Charter Application Successful !!!

Charter Standard Development Logo

As a newly formed club Tynemouth United had to start again with everything, including, the
FA Charter Standard Development Club programme.

However, we are pleased to inform everyone we have just received notification from the Northumberland Football Association telling us we've been successful with our application, and with effect from 23rd April 2008 we have been awarded the Charter Standard Club Award.

This is a tremendous achievement for a club that has only existed for 10 Months.

We had to make sure of such things as having FA level 1 coaches in place for every team.  Our new coaches taking and passing their level 1 training courses, child protection awareness and first aid certificates throughout the club as well as proper club policies and codes of conduct for Coaches, Players and Parents.

All our volunteers are CRB Checked and we are fully committed to personal development.

Well done to those involved and thank you to all those who recently went through training on the clubs behalf, and making this achievement possible.

Tynemouth United's U16A Player Matty Meets Kevin Keegan

Matty and Kevin Keegan

Kevin Keegan the new Newcastle United FC manager meets U16A Tynemouth United player Matty.
I don't think Kevin was trying to sign Matty for Newcastle United, but you never know?

Newcastle have had a bit of success recently and have just confirmed their status in the premier league. Maybe some of Matty's tips were taken up by King Kev ???

Santa's Soccer Six
Football Tournament 15/12/07

The Club organised a Christmas football party for all club members under the heading of 'Santa's Soccer Six'.

This took place on Saturday December 15th between, 2pm and 4pm at the JJB Soccer dome, Royal Quays, North Shields.

This was an opportunity for 150 players of the club to come together under one roof all in yellow and blue which was a great spectacle and a fantastic event.

Teams were mixed up to make this a proper competition and it worked really well, with older players looking after the younger players in the club and making sure everyone had a great time.
